Parkwood is owned and operated by the Parkwood Foundation, a not-for-profit charitable corporation established after the death of Sam McLaughlin in 1972.

Parkwood exists for the enjoyment and education of everyone through the dedicated efforts of staff and volunteers, and with the support of generous individuals, corporations, foundations, service clubs, the City of Oshawa, the Province of Ontario, the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Parks Canada, and the Department of Canadian Heritage.

You can help maintain this legacy and ensure that this unique museum and our heritage gardens endure for the education and enjoyment of all by visiting and participating in our museum and garden programmes, by donating or volunteering.
